The location for this shoot was an old church that was scheduled to be demolished. It provided the perfect location for a Southern Gothic style of presentation with Zach.
Of particular importance in this set was the fact that Zach wanted his love of cigars to be expressed as much as possible. This offered opportunities for some minor special effects work to accentuate that aspect of the shoot.
Because of the nature of the location, a lot of the church itself and surrounding structures (fences, etc.) were damaged. Editing around these features was important to avoid throwing off the focus of the viewer away from the subject.
Points of Interest
- The old church setting was absolutely amazing to work with.
- Unfortunately, that also meant certain editing challenges to avoid certain distracting elements in the shots.
- Playing up Zach's love of cigars without overdoing it added another layer of fun to this set.
