Editing for portraits is a lot of fun for me because it feels like I’m working to help bring out the inner personality of the subjects. That makes each individual set a completely different experience to adapt to from a stylistic standpoint.
This goes for working with different shooters as well. I have worked with several shooters who cover the entire range of experience levels, whether it’s someone first starting out with their first portraits shoot or someone who has been photographing people for decades.
Points of Interest
- Bringing out the personality of the subjects is a whole lot of fun.
- I enjoy adapting to the wide range of styles that different photographers are going for.
- I'm super adaptable when it comes to creating the editing style that you're looking for.
Kara's Portraits
Kara is very much the strong, quiet and beautiful type, and that’s what was aimed for in my edits. The rustic rural location was perfect for this.
Zach's Portraits
Zach very much wanted to show his love for cigars in this shoot, which offered plenty of opportunities to accentuate that aspect of his personality.
